World Introvert Day

World Introvert Day is celebrated on January 2nd each year. It was established in 2011 by German psychologist and author Felicitas Heine to raise awareness and appreciation for introverts. The day aims to highlight the unique qualities and contributions of introverts, who often feel misunderstood in a world that tends to favor extroversion.

It is a day committed to understanding and valuing the exceptional characteristics of introverted people. An introvert person is somebody who is shy, calm and likes to invest energy alone instead of frequently being with others.

It’s a day to recognize that introverts bring depth, creativity, and thoughtful insights to society. Many famous scientists, artists, and thinkers have been introverts.
